No). 14 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 6, AND ADDING §8.01.001 TO THE MOORPARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ADOPTING BY REFERENCE: THE VENTURA COUNTY BUILDING CODE WHEREAS, Government Code Section 50022.1, et seq. provides that ordinances and codes of the county may be adopted by reference, provided that prior to such adoption by reference a noticed public hearing has been held; and WHEREAS, a noticed public hearing has been held by the City Council at which time all interested persons had the opportunity to appear and he heard on the matter of adopting by reference the Ventura County Building Code; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCII. OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Section 2 of Ordinance No. 6 of the City of Moorpark, which adopted by reference the Ventura County Building Code, is hereby repealed. SECTION 2: Section 8.01.001 of the Moorpark Municipal Code is added to read as follows: "Subject to the changes and amendments set forth in this chapter, the standards, previsions and conditions tc be observed ant tollowed in the regulation and control of design, construction, quality ane materials used in the occupancy, location and maintenance of all buildings and structures, and certain equipment specifically regulated rr this title within the city, shall he the following Uniform Codes: Building, 1982 Edition; Mechanical, 1982 Editron; Hcusing, 1982 Edition, Standards, 1,482 Edition; Dangerous Buildings, i.482 Fd i t ion; National Electric Cody 1981 Edition; Plumbing, 1982 Edit-_io,,; certain addi- tional publications 3,13pted thy reference therein; and, the Vent- irr County Building code.
