Traffenstedt, City Clerk �I�T Lisa Pope, Deputy City Clerk 'PCTTI.�,- DATE: April 3, 1998 (CC Meeting of 4/15/98) SUBJECT: Consider Appointment to Fill Three Vacancies on the Teen Council Background The City's Teen Council currently has three vacancies, as one appointed member has resigned and the other two positions were not filled for 1997/98. Staff advertised for applicants and five (5) applications were received from the following: Russell Glenn - 10th grade Mark Gressman - 11th grade Randy Koszela - 6th grade Lindsey Sanders - 7th grade Angela Nunez - 11th grade The Teen Council Guidelines direct that the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, shall make the appointments. The Teen Council is to consist of not less that seven (7) members and not more than nine (9) members with a representative from each grade level from 7th grade to 12th grade, and no less than one (1) and no more than two (2) representatives at large. All representatives must be Moorpark residents and be enrolled in school. The Council has previously been provided with the applications. Recommendation Appoint three (3) members to the Teen Council for a term to begin immediately and end June 30, 1998. (1000A )
