Traffenstedt, City Clerk 'J)5- Lisa Pope, Deputy City Clerk 066 k DATE: June 5, 1998 (CC Meeting of 6/17/98) SUBJECT: Consider Appointment to Fill All Vacancies on the Teen Council Background On June 30, 1998, all nine positions on the City's Teen Council will expire. Staff advertised for applicants and twelve (12) applications were received from the following: Ashley Jay Barondess - 8th grade Kenny Bobertz - 9th grade Jami Evans - 11th grade Russell Glenn - 10th grade Mark Gressman - 11th grade Randy Koszela - 6th grade Michael Lipka - 8th grade Angela Nunez - 11th grade Lindsey Sanders - 7th grade Ashley Schoonover - 8th grade Daniel Sherwood - 6th grade John Sherwood - 12th grade The Teen Council Guidelines direct that the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, shall make the appointments. The Teen Council is to consist of not less that seven (7) members and not more than nine (9) members with a representative from each grade level from 7th grade to 12th grade, and no less than one (1) and no more than two (2) representatives at large. All representatives must be Moorpark residents and be enrolled in school. Appointment to the Teen Council City Council Meeting of June 17, 1998 The Council has previously been provided with the applications. Appoint nine (9) members to the Teen Council for a one year term to begin July 1, 1998. 0000Z9
