MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
Moorpark, California October 3, 2018
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was held on October 3,
2018, in the Community Center of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark,
California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Parvin called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Mikos, Pollock, Simons, Van Dam, and
Mayor Parvin.
Staff Present: Troy Brown, City Manager; Kevin Ennis, City Attorney;
Deborah Traffenstedt, Assistant City Manager; and Maureen
Benson, City Clerk.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None.
4. REORDERING OF, AND ADDITIONS TO, THE AGENDA:
None.
5. CLOSED SESSION:
Mr. Brown requested the Council go into closed session for discussion of one
case under Item 5.A. on the agenda.
Mr. Ennis announced the facts and circumstances for going into closed session
for the one case under Item 5.A. are covered under Paragraph (2) of Subdivision
(d) with no further announcement at this time.
MOTION: Councilmember Mikos moved and Councilmember Van Dam seconded a
motion to adjourn to closed session for discussion of one case under Item 5.A. on the
agenda. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote. The time was 6:03 p.m.

Present in closed session were Councilmembers Mikos, Pollock, Simons, Van
Dam, and Mayor Parvin; Troy Brown, City Manager; Kevin Ennis, City Attorney;
Deborah Traffenstedt, Assistant City Manager; and Maureen Benson, City Clerk.
The Council reconvened into open session at 6:31 p.m. Mr. Brown stated one
case under Item 5.A. was discussed and there was no action to report.
8. ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Parvin adjourned the meeting at 6:31 p.m.
