SUBJECT: CONSIDER APPOINTMENTS TO CITY COUNCIL STANDING
COMMITTEES, AD HOC COMMITTEES AND OTHER ASSIGNMENTS
BACKGROUND
At the City Council meeting on November 18, 1998, the Council
waived Council Policy No. 6.2, City Council Standing Committees,
Committee Appointments (Council Policies Resolution No. 98- 1509),
which requires appointments to be made at the first regularly
scheduled meeting in January of each year, in order to allow the
appointments to be made on December 2. Attached is the City
Council and Moorpark Redevelopment Agency Committee Assignments
list dated October 1998. Ad Hoc Committees that are no longer
required are shown with strikeout lines on the attached list and
will be deleted. In addition, you can consider appointment of an
ad hoc committee for Specific Plan No. 2 for the preparation of a
development agreement now or at a later date.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Make appointments to Committees consistent with City Council
Policies.
