Lindley, Director of Community Servicesl* DATE: October 20, 2000 (CC Meeting of November 1, 2000) SUBJECT: Appropriate Funds for the Refurbishment of the Campus Canyon Park Monument Sign. DISCUSSION At its meeting on October 18, 2000, the City Council approved the expenditure of $3,500 to refurbish the Campus Canyon Park monument sign. The attached Resolution No. 2000 - , amends the FY 2000/01 budget by transferring $3,500 from the General Fund Reserve to the park maintenance expenditure budget. Additionally, it was confirmed that the City does not have to competitively bid a public works project that is less than $5,000. The City has already initiated contact with Signature Signs, the vendor selected by the Campus Hills homeowner association. STAFF RECOMMENDATION (Roll Call Vote) Adopt the budget resolution appropriating $3,500 from the General Fund Reserve for the refurbishment of the Campus Canyon Park sign. M:\MLindley \PARKS \cc park sign budget amend ccagd.doc 000079 ATTACHMENT A RESOLUTION NO. 2000- RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2000/01 BUDGET BY TRANSFERRING $3,500 FOR THE GENERAL FUND RESERVE (1000) TO THE PARK MAINTENANCE BUDGET (2400)FOR THE REFURBISHMENT OF THE CAMPUS CANYON PARK SIGN WHEREAS, on June 21, 2000, the City Council adopted the budget for Fiscal Year 2000/01; and WHEREAS, a staff report has been presented to said Council requesting a budget amendment by appropriating $3,500 from the General Fund Reserve to refurbish the Campus Canyon Park monument sign; and WHEREAS, Exhibit "A" hereof describes said budget amendment and its resultant impacts to the budget line item(s); and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. A budget amendment appropriating $3,500 from the General Fund Reserve as more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is hereby approved. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of the resolution and shall cause a certified resolution to be filed in the book of original Resolutions.
