SUBJECT : GRIFFIN SENIOR PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
ITEM
The Parks Improvement subcommittee has met with staff regarding
the additional improvements suggested for Griffin Senior Park.
Based on that meeting, the subcommittee is recommending the
following for the Commissions review and possible approval.
Picnic Shelters
The subcommittee, after reviewing all possibilities, could not
reach a consensus on one specific picnic shelter. However,
the subcommittee is recommending Gazebo model 1400 (Iron
Mountain Forge) and Standard Multi-sided Gazebo shelter model
2600 (Litchfield Industries) as outlined in the attached staff
report for consideration
Additionally, the committee is recommending the planting of
10 24" box trees around the picnic areas. Type of trees are
still to be determined.
