Traffenstedt, ATOM /City Clerk �J DATE: September 13, 2001 (CC Meeting of 9119101) SUBJECT: Consider Resolution Reaffirming City Hall Location, Revising Regular Business Hours of City Offices, and Rescinding Resolution No. 84 -138 BACKGROUND Staff is recommending adoption of a resolution to revise the City Hall business hours to 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, effective October 1, 2001. Currently, City Hall offices do not open until 8:30 a.m. The City Council's recent approval of a 9/80 schedule will provide the opportunity to now open City Hall offices one -half hour earlier every weekday. The City Hall location will remain at the Moorpark Community Center, 799 Moorpark Avenue. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Adopt Resolution No. 2001- Attachment: Draft Resolution RESOLUTION NO. 2001- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, REAFFIRMING THE LOCATION OF THE CITY HALL AND ESTABLISHING REVISED REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS OF CITY OFFICES AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 84 -138 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 84 -138 established the City Hall location at the Moorpark Community Center, 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California 93021, and the regular business hours for City Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception of legal holidays; and WHEREAS, the City Hall hours are proposed to be revised to 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception of legal holidays. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Hall shall be located at the Moorpark Community Center, 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California 93021. SECTION 2. Effective October 1, 2001, the regular business hours the City Hall will be open to the public will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception of the legal holidays as established by the City Council. SECTION 3. Resolution No. 84 -138 is hereby rescinded. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified resolution to be filed in the book of original resolutions.
