• Objective 2.3.3 - Obtain Caltrans approval for a
raised median between Freeway and Spring Rd by

and the County of Ventura to site two replacement
truck scale facilities west of the City

Concurrent work to improve parallel routes to
reduce congestion on the highway. Including;
Princeton, Tierra Rejada & High St extension
Work with Caltrans to install flashing yellow
signals

Construct signal at Shasta to serve new and
existing residential neighborhoods
Caltrans plans to resurface highway between
Spring & Montair, approx. $17 million
Caltrans is planning to construct new weigh
stations, approx. $20 million.

Future installation of raised median is
contemplated between Spring and Tierra
Rejada. Studio will also install medians to the
west.
Undergrounding of power lines between
Science Drive and Spring

Staff contemplates a project with Caltrans to
upgrade the traffic control system on LA
Avenue from a multiple program approach to
an adaptive control system that will be more
flexible as traffic changes. This will be a
complex effort at the bleeding edge of
technology.
