SUBJECT: Consider Resolution Designating Cedarpine Lane to be a
Through Street in the Vicinity of Shady Point Drive,
and Directing the Placement of a Stop Sign at the Shady
Point Drive Entrance Thereto
DISCUSSION
A. Resolution / Location
Attached as Exhibit 1 is the subject Resolution. The location
of the subject intersection is shown on Exhibit `A' of the
Resolution.
B. Citv Council Action
Section 21354 of the California Vehicle Code states that the
legislative body of any City may direct the placement of STOP
signs upon streets under its jurisdiction. The subject
Resolution provides such direction.
C. Warrants
One of the STOP sign "Warrants" set forth in the Caltrans
Traffic Manual is at an intersection where a street enters a
"through" street, such as a "T" intersection. The placement
of a STOP sign at the Shady Point Drive entrance to Cedarpine
Lane is consistent with this Stop Sign Warrant.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING CEDARPINE
LANE TO BE A THROUGH STREET IN THE VICINITY OF
SHADY POINT DRIVE, AND DIRECTING THE PLACEMENT
OF A STOP SIGN AT THE SHADY POINT DRIVE

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Cedarpine Lane is hereby designated a through
street in the vicinity of Shady Point Drive and a STOP sign is
hereby directed to be placed at the west leg (eastbound traffic)
of said intersection, as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to provide
for the installation and maintenance of appropriate signs and
markings to effectuate these requirements.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall cause a certified resolution to be filed
in the book of original resolutions.
