SUBJECT: Consider the Approval of Street Names for Meridian
Hills (William Lyon Homes) Tract Nos. 5187 and 5405,
also Known as West Pointe Homes, Located West of
Walnut Canyon Road and North of Casey Road
BACKGROUND
The City's standard practice for street naming is for the
developer to propose at least three (3) street names for each
street and submit those street names to the Community
Development Director and City Manager for review. Once this
review has been completed, the street names are forwarded to the
Ventura County Fire Protection District for its review. Upon
completion of the review process, the street names are then
submitted to the City Council for approval in accordance with
Resolution No. 2004 -2160, Section 1, Policy 1 - Street Naming.
DISCUSSION
The proposed street names for Tract Nos. 5187 and 5405 have been
reviewed by the City and the Ventura County Fire Protection
District, and have been found acceptable and in conformance with
Council's resolution. The list of street names is shown in the
table below.
