The Council is being asked to authorize the City Manager to
execute a contract with All Pro Pool & Spa for water fountain
maintenance and periodic repair. The City has two water
fountains: the large decorative rock water fountain at the
southwest corner of Tierra Rejada Road and Mountain Trail
Street (Vons Center), and the new water fountain on the Police
Facility patio. Our current maintenance contract with Complete
Property Maintenance expired October 31, 2005.
Staff solicited bids from local pool maintenance and repair
companies, including the City's current contractor, for the
monthly maintenance and repair of two water fountains. Costs
include weekly cleaning, testing, and chemicals, and repairs
when necessary. The bid results are as follows:
Bidder Monthly Cost (2 fountains
All Pro Pool and Spa - $210.00
EverCare Pool Service - $265.00
Only 1 Pool & Spa - $320.00
The successful qualified bidder is All Pro Pool & Spa. The
term of the contract is for one year, with two one -year
optional extensions.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with All Pro
Pool & Spa for water fountain maintenance and repair.
