Builds consensus about what to do and how to do it.
Focus the organization's efforts.
To think BIG picture about where the community is
going.
City Council Priorities FY 2019-21
The City’s Strategic Plan is a five-year planning
document that consists of more than 130 total tasks
For FY 2019-21 sixty (60) projects were identified
as Priority Projects – Tonight's focus is status of
priority projects
Of the priority projects, forty-six (46) objectives to
be completed by December 31, 2020
The Council and staff recognize the ongoing needs for
municipal service, not all projects will be completed

Responding to third round of comments from Caltrans on
Princeton Improvement project.
Analysis underway regarding impact of project on supports for SR-23
OUTCOME: ENCROACHMENT PERMIT FROM CALTRANS!
Conducted 360 hours of special enforcement of truck/vehicle
safety along Los Angeles Ave to educate commercial drivers
on unsafe conditions of trailers coming through the City.
Obtained Caltrans approval for installation of raised
median from SR-23 to Spring Road

Use of Remaining “bond” proceeds
Researched eligible uses, funding sources and prior direction
regarding remaining bond proceeds
Implementing Tyler Technologies ExecuTime for
timecards to improve time and attendance processes,
automate data entry into payroll system and streamline
job costing to various developer and City capital
improvement projects

Identified vendor for redesign of City website
Completed comprehensive review of City’s Personnel Rules
Conducted an Organization and Management Study of the
Community Development Department to review and analyze
the development process and prepare an implementation
plan
Determined feasibility of leasing a portion of the Southern
California Edison property adjacent to Arroyo Vista
Community Park to expand parking and provide active
passive recreational uses

Seeking Prop 68 Grant Funds from Santa Monica Mountains
Conservancy: Master Planning for the future trail from the
80 acres through the Santa Rosa Valley to the COSCA and
Conejo Recreation and Park District wilderness areas
Seeking Recreational Trail Program (RTP) grant from
California State Parks: Design and construction of a 1 mile
trail through the 80 acre property, and associated trail
heads, parking lots, interpretive signs, benches and shade
structures
