inspection at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center public counter located at 4550 Tierra Rejada Road during regular
business hours. The agenda for all regular Teen Council meetings is also available on the City's website at
www.MoorparkCa.gov

A. Cupcake Challenge Debrief
Teen Councilmembers Jimenez, Grossman, and Cooper volunteered at the
event and shared positives, negatives, and potential ideas for improvement with
Recreation Supervisor, Michael Ramirez.
B. Upcoming Events
Councilmembers committed to volunteering at various events and proposed
themes for the Cupcake Challenge event on May 3, 2019.
C. Discuss Proposed Teen Movie Night for April
Councilmembers decided not to move forward with the proposed teen movie
night.

Teen Councilmembers discussed upcoming events and ways to promote Easter
Egg Hunt volunteer opportunities to service-oriented, school-based clubs.
C. Round Table
Teen councilmembers shared upcoming school-related events of interest.

A. Welcome and Introductions
Recreation Supervisor, Michael Ramirez, welcomed the new Teen Council and
facilitated introductions.
B. Overview of Meeting Rules & Procedures
Teen councilmembers read a Brown Act Summary and City Policy 6.7 regarding
Teen Council. Recreation Supervisor, Michael Ramirez, provided clarification as
needed.
C. Teen Councilmember Expectations
Teen Council discussed meeting frequency. Councilmember Hernandez moved
and Councilmember Gallego seconded a motion to meet monthly (1st
Wednesday of each month.) A discussion on officer positions within Teen
Council was tabled until the October meeting.

C. Elect Teen Council Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Sergeant at Arms
Teen Council elected Raquel Frank as Chair, Olivia Hernandez as Vice-Chair,
Neha Thiyagarajan as Secretary, and Jesse Gallego as Sergeant at Arms.

Teen Council discussed and proposed potential project ideas and dates. Teen
councilmembers volunteered to participate in various subcommittees to research
proposed projects.
C. Discuss Upcoming Events
Teen Council discussed upcoming events. Councilmembers, who volunteered at
Breakfast with Santa in the past, shared their experiences with new members.
