NOTICE AND CALL OF A SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the Parks and Recreation
Commission of the City of Moorpark is hereby called to be held on Sunday,
May 16, 2021, commencing at 11:00 A.M. Said meeting will convene at City
Hall located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. Said Special Meeting
shall be for the purpose of the following:

6. PRESENTATIONS/ACTION/DISCUSSION:
A. Parks Tour. Staff Recommendation: The Commission and staff will tour and
discuss the following parks in the order listed below. (The times identified are
estimates only, and the Commission will attempt to meet this schedule)
1. Arroyo Vista Community Park 11:15 a.m.
2. Tierra Rejada Park 11:55 a.m.
3. Mountain Meadows Park 12:20 p.m.
4. Monte Vista Park 1:00 p.m.
5. Miller Park 1:25 p.m.
6. Mammoth Park 1:50 p.m.
Following Item 6.A., Parks Tour, the Parks and Recreation Commission will
continue their meeting at City Hall located at 799 Moorpark Avenue.
B. Consider Additional Softball Fencing at Mountain Meadows Park. Meeting will
continue after the Parks Tour, Item 6.A., at 2:30 p.m. at City Hall in the Apricot
Room located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark California. Continuation of the
May 3, 2021 Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting, Item 7.B. Staff
Recommendation: Make a recommendation to the City Council to approve the
installation of a 16' height foul line fence along the east side of the south softball
field at Mountain Meadows Park. (Staff: Jeremy Laurentowski)
C. Consider Location for a Second Dog Park. Staff Recommendation: Recommend
to the City Council that a second dog park should not be considered at this time.

A. Approval of Minutes of the Regular Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting
of May 3, 2021. Staff Recommendation: Approve as presented.

regular Commission meetings is also available on the City's website at www.moorparkca.gov.
Any member of the public may address the Commission during the Public Comments portion of the Agenda unless it is a
Discussion item.Speakers who wish to address the Commission concerning a Discussion item must do so during the Discussion
portion of the Agenda for that item.Speaker cards must be received by the Recording Secretary for Public Comment prior to the
beginning of the Public Comments portion of the meeting;and for a Discussion item, prior to the Chair's call for speaker cards for
each Discussion agenda item. A limitation of three minutes shall be imposed upon each Public Comment and Discussion item
speaker. Written Statement Cards may be submitted in lieu of speaking orally for Discussion items. Any questions concerning any
agenda item may be directed to the Parks and Recreation Department at 517-6227.
