ADJOURNMENT: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All writings and documents provided to the Teen Council regarding the agenda items are available for public inspection at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center public counter located at 4550 Tierra Rejada Road during regular business hours. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 5:02 p.m. by Chair Thiyagarajan. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Teen Councilmember Gallego. 3. ROLL CALL: Present: Sophia Bryson, Isobel Coursey, Jesse Gallego, William Gratke, Jaynie Jindarat, Aaron Luekenga, Shreya Nadkarni, Delilah Sichmeller, Neha Thiyagarajan, Ollie Webb. Absent: Genysia Brown, Anishka Jain, Ethan Jones, Lia Sina, Jordyn Washington. Staff Present: Recreation Supervisor, Michael Ramirez 4. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. 5. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS: A. Consider Approval of Recommended Amendments to Teen Council Policy for Submission to Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department Management Staff. MOTION: Teen Councilmember Sichmeller moved and Teen Councilmember Nadkarni seconded a motion to submit the amended Teen Council Policy to Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department management staff for review. The motion carried 10-0. B. Discussion of Teen Council Application Form and Process. This discussion was tabled for a future meeting. 6. ANNOUNCEMENTS/FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS None. Teen Council Minutes October 7, 2020 Page 2 7. CONSENT CALENDAR: MOTION: Teen Councilmember Nadkarni moved and Teen Councilmember Gallego seconded a motion to approve the Consent Calendar. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 5:09 p.m. by Chair Thiyagarajan. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Teen Councilmember Webb. 3. ROLL CALL: Present: Sophia Bryson, Isobel Coursey, Jaynie Jindarat, Ethan Jones, Shreya Nadkarni, Delilah Sichmeller, Lia Sina, Neha Thiyagarajan, Jordyn Washington, Ollie Webb. PUBLIC COMMENT: City of Moorpark Planning Manager, Doug Spondello, provided the Teen Council with information regarding Moorpark’s General Plan Update and encouraged members to register to attend the online Visioning Workshop held on 11/19/20 from 6:00-8:00 PM. 5. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS: A. Debrief Spooky Avenue Drive-thru Halloween Event Teen Councilmembers that volunteered at the event provided Recreation Supervisor, Michael Ramirez, with positive and constructive feedback to be considered for future events. B. Discussion of Teen Council Application Form and Process. This discussion was tabled for a future meeting. C. CONSENT CALENDAR: Consent calendar was not approved as Councilmembers Sichmeller and Thiyagarajan had to leave the meeting early, resulting in lack of a quorum. 8.
