Purpose
Biannual report presented to City
Council (October and April).
Provides a snapshot of the
progression of projects included
in the City’s Capital
Improvement Plan.
Opportunity to provide updates
on projects and identify any
challenges or obstacles that
have been encountered and/or
overcome.
Keeps projects in the forefront.

Active Projects (contains
projects that are active
in one form or another).
Five Year CIP (contains
remaining projects
included in the City’s
Five-Year CIP).
Active Projects
16 Active Projects (out of 48).
1 completed project (Streetlight LED Conversion).
1 active construction (Downtown Sidewalk Rehabilitation).
3 construction award (City Monument Signage, AVRCHVAC Replacement & Metrolink North Parking Lot Expansion).
2 property acquisitions (L.A. Avenue Widening & City Hall).
Remaining 9 projects are in some phase of design, or preparing to go out to bid for design/construction, etc. (including Princeton Ave.)

Avenue
Improvement
(C0020)
City has received approval from the
Caltrans HSIP Implementation team,
which has forwarded the request to
obligate the project to federal
government (needed before
construction bid can be released).
Obligation approval is expected by
end of November.
Expectation to go out to bid for
construction in December (City Council
previously authorized bid).
Downtown Sidewalk Rehabilitation (M0050)
Sidewalk rehabilitation
within the boundaries of
the Redevelopment Area.
The scope of work and
improvements include
sidewalk repair, sidewalk
replacement, curb cuts,
access ramps, and street
transitions.
Completion is expected in
January 2022.
Property Acquisition for City Hall (C0012) & Los Angeles Avenue Widening (C0021)
City Council approved purchase of 323 Science Drive, for relocation
of City Hall.
City Council approved purchase of 240 Los Angeles Avenue (SR-
118) to facilitate widening of south side of Los Angeles Ave.
