Moorpark, California November 16, 2021
A Regular Meeting of the Arts Commission of the City of Moorpark was held on
November 16, 2021, in the Council Chambers of said City located at 799 Moorpark
Avenue, Moorpark, California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Chair Blaugrund called the meeting to order at 6:02 P.M.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Chair Blaugrund led the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners De Haz, Simons and Chair Blaugrund
Absent: Commissioner Roullard and Vice Chair Hoberg
Staff Present: Jeremy Laurentowski, Parks and Recreation Director;
Jessica Sandifer, Community Services Manager; Chris Ball,
Senior Management Analyst and Kimberly Sexton,
Administrative Assistant II
4. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None.
5. REORDERING OF, AND ADDITIONS TO, THE AGENDA:
None.
6. ANNOUNCEMENTS, FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS, AND REPORTS ON
MEETINGS/CONFERENCES ATTENDED BY COMMISSIONERS.
None.
7. PRESENTATION/ACTION/DISCUSSION:

A. Update on Arts Master Plan. Staff Recommendation: Receive oral report.
Mr. Ball gave the oral report.

There were no speakers.
CONSENSUS: It was the consensus of the Commission to receive the oral report
from Mr. Ball.
B. Consider Request for Qualifications for Moorpark Station North Parking
Lot Public Art Project. Staff Recommendation: Approve Request for
Qualifications as presented and forward recommendation to the City
Council.
Mr. Ball gave the staff report.
There were no speakers.
The Commission and Staff discussed the Request for Qualifications and
Staff stated the due dates will be adjusted based on City Council's
approval.
MOTION: Chair Blaugrund moved and Commissioner Simons seconded a
motion to approve the Request for Qualifications as presented and forward the
recommendation to the City Council. The motion carried by voice vote of 3-0.
8. CONSENT CALENDAR:
MOTION: Chair Blaugrund moved, and Commissioner De Has seconded a motion to
approve the consent calendar. The motion carried by voice vote of 3-0.
A. Approval of Minutes of the Regular Arts Commission Meeting of June 17,
2021. Staff Recommendation: Approve as presented.
9. ADJOURNMENT:
Chair Blaugrund adjourned the meeting at 6:34 P.M.
