BACKGROUND On July 27, 2017, staff issued Grading Permit 262G for grading and site improvements associated with the development of the Fairfield Inn at 14350 White Sage Road. As part of permit issuance, a surety is required to ensure that the improvements, as shown on Moorpark Drawing No. 15-ML-11028, are completed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications. In lieu of a surety bond, the developer, Moorpark Hospitality, Inc., provided a cash deposit with the City in the amount of $108,020.33. DISCUSSION The grading and site improvements were constructed and accepted by City staff on June 5, 2020. On October 21, 2020, as part of the City’s acceptance and a warranty period of one-year for the improvements, the City Council reduced the cash deposit to 10 percent to the amount of $10,802.03.
