A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO MAKE CERTAIN CHANGES IN AND TO ORDER THE
ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS FOR THE "MOORPARK LIGHTING
MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. AD-84-2" FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1 , 1985 , AND
ENDING JUNE 30 , 1986, PURSUANT TO THE LANDSCAPING
AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972; CONSOLIDATING CERTAIN
ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS AND PORTIONS OF ASSESSMENT
DISTRICTS WITH SAID "MOORPARK LIGHTING MAINTENANCE
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. AD-84-2; AND FIXING A
TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS THERETO.
WHEREAS, the City Council, by Resolution No. 85-
proposed to make certain changes "Moorpark Lighting Maintenance
Assessment District No. AD-84-2" , consolidate certain assessment
districts and portions of assessment districts with said district,
and to extend the improvement specified in said district for the
fiscal year commencing July 1 , 1985 and ending June 30, 1986,
pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of
1972 (Part 2 , Division 15 of the California Streets and Highways
Code) ; and
WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 85- , the City Council
ordered the City Manager to cause to be prepared an Engineer' s Report
pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 1, Part 2, Division 15 of the said
Streets and Highways Code; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer ' s Report was prepared and filed, and
the same was approved by the Council on the day of May,
1985 by Resolution No. 85-
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require
and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Moorpark
to make certain changes to the "Moorpark Lighting Maintenance
Assessment District No. AD-84-2" , to order the extension of the
annual assessments for said district for the fiscal year commencing
July 1 , 1985 and ending June 30, 1986, and to conolidate certain
assessment districts and portions of assessment districts therewith.
Said "Moorpark Lighting Maintenance Assessment District No. AD-84-2"
consists of a single Citywide zone to provide electric current or
energy for public lighting facilities, for operation and maintenance
of said public lighting within the City, to provide for installation
or maintenance landscaping and the construction or maintenance of
curb, gutter or sidewalk structures and facilities, to install or
construct facilities which are appurtenant to any of the foregoing,
for the maintenance or servicing, or both, of any of the foregoing
and to provide incidental expenses in connection therewith.

SECTION 2 . Said "Moorpark Lighting Maintenance Assessment
District. No. AD-84-2" shall specifically include the following:
(a) The street medians along Tierra Rejada Road and the
parkway landscaping along Los Angeles Avenue and
Tierra Rejada Road heretofore included within
"Moorpark Landscape Maintenance Assessment District
No. AD-83-1" , which was formed and confirmed by
this City Council by Resolution No. 83-44 , adopted
October 3 , 1983 ;
(b) All of the improvement areas included within
"City of Moorpark Landscaping and Lighting
Maintenance District No. AD-84-1" , formed and
confirmed by this City Council by Resolution
No. 84-69 , adopted February 15 , 1984;
(c) All of the inmprovement areas included within
"Tierra Rejada Road - Landscape Maintenance District" ,
formed by the County of Ventura on August 14 , 1979
in accordance with the "Landscaping and Lighting
Act of 1972" ,
and said assessment districts and portions of assessment districts
as described and referred to in this section shall be and the same
are hereby ordered consolidated with said "Moorpark Lighting
Maintenance Assessment District No. AD-84-2" .
SECTION 3. That the foregoing described work is to be located
within said Assessment District, the boundary of which is more
particularly described on a map on file in the City Clerk' s office
and is entitled, "Diagram of Moorpark Lighting Maintenance Assessment
District No. AD-84-2" , filed in the office of the City Clerk on the
day of May, 1985.
SECTION 4 . That the contemplated servicing and maintenance
of street and traffic safety lights, and other improvements as
specified in said Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, in the opinion
of said City Council, are of benefit to, and the said City Council
hereby makes the expense of the said servicing and maintenance,
and other such improvements, chargeable upon, the district.
SECTION 5. Reference is hereby made to the report of the
Engineer on file with the City Clerk and open to inspection, for a
full and detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries
of the Assessment District and any zones therein, and the proposed
assessments upon assessable lots and parcels of land within the
District.
SECTION 6. Notice is hereby given that on the 3rd day of
June, 1985, at the hour of 7 : 00 p.m. , in the Council Chambers in
the City Hall of said City, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark,
any and all persons having any objections to the work or extent of

of the assessment district may appear and show cause why said
work should not be done or carried out or why said district should
not be extended for the fiscal year commencing July 1 , 1985 and
ending June 30 , 1986, or why said certain assessment districts and
portions of said assessment districts should not be consolidated
with said "Moorpark Lighting Maintenance Assessment District No.
AD-84-1" , in accordance with this Resolution of Intention. Protests
must be in writing and must be filed with the City Clerk prior to
the conclusion of the hearing. Any such protest shall state all
grounds of the objection, and if filed by a property owner shall
contain a description sufficient to identify the property.
SECTION 7. All the work herein proposed shall be done in
accordance with the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 , being
Part 2 of Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California.
SECTION 8 . The City Clerk shall cause notice of the hearing
to be given by causing the Resolution of Intention to be published
and mailed in the manner required by Part 2 of Division 15 of the
Streets and Highways Code.
