SUPPLEMENTAL From: Candice Yassini <candiceyassini@yahoo.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 25, 2022 12:26 PM To: Philip Neumann <PNeumann@MoorparkCA.gov> Subject: Jeff Brodsley To Whom It May Concern, My name is Candice Yassini. I wanted to write this letter to show my support for the approval of the District on High project being proposed. This specific property holds such a special place in my family and I’s heart. My grandfather built the current Luna Llen, Boba’s Cuz and Famous Taco’s buildings many years ago. My family has deep roots in Moorpark, and now I am raising my own daughter here. To see what District on High is going to do with the current buildings, yet add such needed new entertainment is amazing. The Yassini family is looking forward to frequenting District on High and having another great place to gather at in Moorpark. We are also happy that this project will help to can keep our money in Moorpark, and not go out of town for establishments like this. I recall attending the High Street Eats events last year, and my daughter and I had such a blast. Seeing the community come together on High Street was very special to us. Knowing that District on High will be a permanent gathering place, as opposed to the temporary High Street Eats event- is such a blessing for us! Thank you for your time and consideration in our full support of this project. Candice Yassini ATTACHMENT 1 October 25, 2022 To Whom It May Concern: My name is Robert Perez. I have lived in Moorpark my entire life, was raised here, raising my own family here and truly love this City. I am also a local business owner, School Board Member for the Moorpark Unified School District, and involved in several other local groups. I wanted to share my overwhelming support for the District on High Project. Being raised right behind this project, my family, friends, and the downtown community are really excited to have something this cool come to High Street. We have been waiting for projects like this for years, and we are so happy to see this full family gathering environment come to fruition. I love the fact that this can be a gathering place for several lunch options, be an evening place to go to with my wife, as well as be a weekend place we can meet up at with family and friends. Some of my fondest memories as a child and teenager were working on High Street as well as supporting our local businesses. District on High will provide my own children with some of these same experiences, right here on High Street in Downtown Moorpark. Through my involvement with the MUSD Board, I am also very grateful this will add another great outdoor space for our local children to have fun at, while also spending time with friends and family. I look forward to sports gatherings, birthday parties and all the above once this project is approved and built. Thank you for your consideration and reading my support for District on High. This project contains the three “C”’s you look for in a community development. Concept, Capital and Caring. The Concept of the development matches the integrity of High Street and its Vision. The Developer has the Capital to carry out this Concept. The Developer grew up in Moorpark and “Cares” about the community and understand what steps it takes to enhance the street. Our city has been eagerly waiting for developers to choose High Street and use their own Capital with no City subsidy. This project is perfect for the future of High Street, and all of Moorpark. Keeping our money in town, providing a various use facility to gather at, and adding another great addition to High Street is exactly what we need. I am in full support of this project and can’t wait to see the long-time vison of High Street revitalization come to fruition. Please support this project. Thank you for your consideration.
