PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Lousen led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. ROLL CALL.- Present- Commissioners Lousen, Winters, Vice Chair Flame and Chair Estrella. Absent: Commission Morgan. Staff Present: Jeremy Laurentowski, Parks and Recreation Director; Stephanie Anderson, Recreation Services Manager. 4. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. 5. REORDERING OF, AND ADDITIONS TO, THE AGENDA: (Items to be pulled from the Consent Calendar shall be identified under this section). None. 6. ANNOUNCEMENTS, FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS AND REPORTS ON MEETINGS/CONFERENCES ATTENDED BY COMMISSIONERS: Vice Chair Flame reported that he attended the opening day of Girls Softball. Commissioner Lousen reported the newly striped pickleball courts are well used and reminded the public no dog or chairs should be in the court area. Commissioner Lousen announced he attended Skate Night and commented it was nicely decorated and well attended. Commission Lousen announced he visited every park in Moorpark and commented on the great signage and high usage. Minutes of the Regular Park and Recreation Commission Moorpark. California Paae 2 March 6. 2023 Commissioner Winters commented that Parks and Recreation Master Plan Ad Hoc Committee met on March 2, 2024 and reviewed the two proposals that were submitted. He advised the next step is to hold in -person interviews. Chair Estrella announced upcoming recreation events including the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Arroyo Vista Community Park and the Moorpark Has Talent event, on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the High Street Arts Center. 7. PRESENTATIONS/ACTION/DISCUSSION: A. Consider the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 and Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Citv of Moorpark Strategies, Goals and Objectives. Staff Recommendation: Receive and file report. Mr. Laurentowski gave the report. There were no speakers. MOTION: Commissioner Winters moved and Vice Chair Flame seconded a motion to receive and file the report. The motion carried by voice vote, 4-0. B. Consider Dates for Spring Park Tour. Staff Recommendation: Select a date and time for five or six parks to tour during the Spring 2023 Special Commission Meeting and Park Tour. Mr. Laurentowski gave the report. There were no speakers. Commissioners and staff discussed the upcoming Inclusive Playground project at Tierra Rejada Park, the newly striped pickleball courts at Arroyo Vista Community Park and the rocket ship at Glenwood Park. MOTION: Vice Chair Flame moved and Commissioner Lousen seconded a motion to hold the Spring 2023 Special Commission Meeting and Park Tour on April 22, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and tour Arroyo Vista Community Park, Glenwood Park, Tierra Rejada Park, Mammoth Park and College View Park. The motion carried by voice vote, 4-0. 8. CONSENT CALENDAR: MOTION: Commissioner Winters moved and Vice Chair Flame seconded a motion to approve the Consent Calendar. The motion carried by voice vote, 4-0. A. Approval of Minutes of the Parks and Recreation Regular Commission Meeting of February 6, 2023. Staff Recommendation: Approve as presented.
