Legal Framework
1.On-street activity is regulated by CA Vehicle Code.
2.Significant restrictions regarding City’s ability to address on public right-of-way.Limited totime,place,and manner restrictions necessary to address specific safety concerns.Forinstance,Cities cannot ban food trucks within the right-of-way within specific areas orrequireseparationfrombrickandmortarrestaurants.
3.Food trucks parked for more than one-hour are required to offer customers a restroomwithin200feet.
