Resolution No. 87---~-~-A Proposed
Resolution Authorizing Parking Limitations
on Spring Road and Peach Hill Road
City Staff was recently contacted by a representative of Holy Cross
Catholic Church regarding a concern with vehicle parking at the
intersection of Peach Hill and Spring Roads. They requested
consideration of appropriate signage to discourage vehicles with
'For Sale' signs from parking in this area.
As you are aware, both the east and south segments of this inter-
section have less than full improvements. Vehicles parked near
this intersection tend to affect to ingress/egress to the Church
as well as general sight distance.
The Presbyterian Church (S/E corner) recently placed a barrier
on their property in an apparent attempt to discourage vehicles
from parking on their property. This has tended to push the
parked vehicles closer to the edge of the pavement.
In the past, the City Council approved a 2 Hour Parking Zone on
Spring Road adjacent to the Catholic Church. The additional
parking restrictions currently proposed can be re-evaluated when the
Presbyterian Church is constn, cted and Peach Hill and Spring
Roads improved.
The proposed parking restrictions will discourage the parking
of vehicles 'For Sale' and improve the sight distance at the
intersection.
