MEMORANDUM
The Honorable City Council
John F. Knipe, Assistant City
February 9, 1988
SUBJECT: Acceptance of the Condor Drive Traffic Signal
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Condor Drive traffic signal has been in operation for
four months and the contractor has completed all items of
work as shown on the plans. CalTrans has also agreed that
the improvements are complete and satisfactory.
This signal project was fast-tracked using an accelerated
(1-1/2 months) equipment procurement period and a shortened
(one month) construction period. Taft Electric, the
contractor, was able to procure the equipment and construct
the traffic signal within the short time specified. Total
project costs are being shared 50% City and 50% developers
(Kavlico and cc & F).
The Council may now accept the improvements and direct the
City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County
Record~r's office.
