GENOVESE City Treasurer The City Council recently directed that the bid period for the tree removal project be shortened by at least one (1) week. As a result of this action, the bids will be opened on Tuesday, October 6, 1987. There will not be sufficient time to allow for consideration of a bid award at the October 7th Council meeting_ If the Council conducts an adjourned meeting on October 14th, the bid award could be considered at that time. In anticipation of the adjourned meeting, this matter was included on the October 7th agenda. City staff was directed to send the proposed tree removal project a notice of the letter is attached. GILLESPIE Chief of Police THOMAS P.GENOVESE City Treasurer The City of Moorpark is progressing with the Capital Improvements Program for the current fiscal year. As part of this program, the City is proceeding with removal of parkway trees at the locations listed on the attached list. This program will include curb, gutter and sidewalk repair where necessary under a separate contract, as well as a tree replacement program. Due to the City's desire to move ahead with this project, award of the bid will be scheduled for the first available City Council meeting; either October 14th or 21st, 1987. If you would like to personally address the City Council on this matter, please check with the City as to the date the matter will be scheduled. If you have any concerns regarding the removal of the trees at the locations noted on the attached list, please contact me at (805) 529-6864. Any concerns should be forwarded by October 7, 1987.
