Richards, Director of Community Development DATE: August 9, 1989 SUBJECT: Additional Revisions to City Resolution 585, Establishing Schedule of Land Use Development Preliminary Processing Fee Deposits, Effective July 19, 1989 In the course of implementing the revised developer fee resolution of July 19, 1989, staff has realized that further revisions are necessary. One fee was mistakenly revised, a second fee is in need of modification, and a third concern relates to condition compliance reviews prior to issuing zone clearances. The landscape plan review and inspection fee, (number 18 on the schedule), was mistakenly reported as being $400. This fee was $500, prior to adjustments made through out this year, and should continue to be set at $500. Secondly, staff has directed that the Variance fee of $1,224 is to be modified to account for requests involving existing single family residential units. A sub-category, 7.a, has been created and requires a $308 deposit for this specific application. As the Council is aware, staff will propose a change in applicable codes to allow applications for minor variances to be decided by the Director of Community Development subject to appeal to the Planning Commission or the City Council . Lastly, costs incurred during the condition compliance zone clearance process was mistakenly omitted. At the April 14, 1989 Public Hearing, Recommendation 4 was approved, allowing staff to add a fee to recover the actual cost of this service. As presented in the April 19 staff report,and as approved by the Council on April 19, 1989, the Condition Compliance item has been added as number 22 on the schedule, at a 100% deposit of original , (or actual ), fee charged for the project. 799 Moorpark Avenue Moorpark, California 93021 (805) 529-6864 Recommendation That the City Council approve the attached revised resolution, establishing schedule of land development preliminary processing fee deposits, and rescinding Resolution 89-585.
