PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PERMIT NO. 980 -JANSS CORPORATION
MINOR MODIFICATION NO. 1
Background
At its meeting of January 18, 1984, the City Council approved a
125,113 sq.ft. neighborhood shopping center. The site consists of
the main building and four free-standing buildings. One of the
free-standing buildings is occupied by Bank of A. Levy (1,200
s. ft.). No alterations have been made to the bank since the
building's completion.
Presently, the bank has the need to provide some protection from
the elements for the walk-up teller window on the west elevation.
The wind blowing toward this area and the afternoon sun have
provided uncomfortable conditions for the bank's patrons and
employees.
To solve the problem the bank has proposed a glass partition and a
lattice roof. Proposed materials and colors are shown on the
attached site plan and elevations. The proposed changes will not
constitute an addition of floor area. The area being protected
would still be considered as being out of doors. Therefore, no
additional parking is required.
The Director of Community Development has reviewed and approved
this request for a modification and deemed it to be minor.

Past practice in a minor modification has been to allow the Council
to set this matter for a public hearing if it feels the proposed
changes are significant. If the Council takes no action, then the
Director's decision stands. ,
