JERRY STRAUGXAN M E M O R A N D U M TO: The Honorable City Council FROM: Steven Kueny, City Manager DATE: August 30, 1984 SUBJECT: Paul E. Griffin Sr. Park BACKGROUND INFORMATION The Griffin Development Company inadvertently continued to pay the water and electrical bills for the subject park from September 1, 1983, when the maintenance responsibility was transferred to Ventura County. The Griffin Company has requested that the City pay these bills for that period. Since the City did not assume maintenance of the park until May 1, 19840 it is recommended that the City Council authorize reimbursement to Griffin for the water and electrical costs from that date. As evidenced by Griffin's recap, the City would be responsibile for about $1,050.00, plus additional costs prior to the actual transfer of the meters to the City. This would be appropriately financed from the Quimby Interest funds. SUGGESTED MOTION: Authorize reimbursement to Griffin Development Company for water and electrical costs at Paul E. Griffin Sr. Park, from May 1, 19840 as audited and approved by the City Manager. SK:ddb attachment
