GEDNEY MEMORANDUM City Treasurer TO = The Honorable City Council FROM = Steven Kueny, City Manager S. DATE = August 14, 1985 . E i_TB.J E CT = Camrosa County Water District - Request re Formation of Liaison Committee BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The attached correspondence from the Camrosa County Water District requests a meeting to discuss the Carlsberg property. As you know, the City has previously supported the detachment of the Carlsberg property from the Camrosa District. The subject property was recently annexed to Waterworks District No. 1. At this time it appears to be a question of which agency will provide water and sewer service to this property. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Concur with the Camrosa request to have an informational meeting and direct the City Council's Public Works Committee (Mayor Prieto and Councilmember Yancy-Sutton) to represent the City at the meeting. CALIFORNIA GM-85-224 Moorpark City Council P. 0. Box 701 Moorpark CA 93021 SUBJECT: Liaison Meeting • Dear Council Members: In view of the recent events related to the Carlsberg property in the Tierra Rejada Valley, the CCWD Board of Directors feel it would be important and pro- ductive to establish a direct line of communication between your Council and our Board. We propose a liaison committee be formed consisting of two CCWD Directors and two Moorpark Council members. As you are aware, our district boundaries lie within the cities of Thousand Oaks and Camarillo, as well as Moorpark. We have found this form of communi- cation between the district and the cities has been beneficial in understanding each others'needs. I have requested the CCWD i;eneral Manager to contact your City Manager to set up a meeting. Sincerely, son President CED:GM:ak cc: CCWD Board of Directors ' ECEIk D AUG 9 190 iJ ni
