FROM : Gary Boettcher, Code Enforcement Officer DATE : August 28, 1986 SUBJECT : Second Neighborhood Cleanup The cleanup was successful in that many City residents participated in the program and several large dumpsters were packed with a potpourri of materials. However, in the next cleanup, we are going to need more dumpsters and manpower. Several loaded vehicles were turned away because we didn't have the capacity to handle any additional solid waste. The Jaycees had two volunteers, Mr. Jim Keenan and Mr. Ron Arnone, who were invaluable in the day-long effort. I suggest that a letter of appreciation should be sent to Waste Management, G.I. Rubbish, and the Jaycees, expressing the City Council's appreciation for their valuable assistance in this continuing program. LOS ANGELES AVE-COLONY AREA: The property owners have abated the dumping problem on their property and have graded and restored the property to a reasonably good appearance. The Code Enforcement Officer has sent out several abatement notices to property owners with weed/tumbleweed problems.
