FROM: RICHARD RODRIGUE 411,MIUTENANT DATE: August 9, 1989 SUBJECT: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING VEHICLE CODE ENFORCEMENT IN THE MOORPARK PLAZA, 530 NEW LOS ANGELES AVENUE. DISCUSSION: Mash Associates has contacted staff and requested that the Police Department enforce the vehicle code within the public parking area of the Moorpark Plaza Shopping Center, 530 New Los Angeles Avenue. Mash Associates will pay for all costs of purchasing and installing necessary signage noticing enforcement of the vehicle code, parking and other traffic restrictions, prior to enforcement of vehicle code laws. RECOMMENDATION: Approve resolution authorizing vehicle code enforcement within the Moorpark Plaza. Richard Rodriquez Re: 530 New Los Angeles Ave. Moorpark Plaza Dear Lt. Rodriquez, We would like to request that the police department strictly enforce the vehicle codes at the Moor— park Plaza. We would like signs posted stating the vehicle codes are enforced in the center. Mash Associates will pay for the costs of the signs to be determined by the City of Moorpark. We would also like to request that stop signs be placed at both exits of the shopping center. Please let us know if there _is anything we can to do expidite this process. Dear Mr. Mays: THIS IS TO NOTIFY YOU THAT, pursuant to the provisions of 21107.8 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, we have scheduled for public hearing the matter of your request to designate the private roadways within the Moorpark Plaza as being subject to provisions of the California Vehicle Code. Said public hearing will be held at a regular meeting of the Moorpark City Council on August 16, 1989, commencing at 7:00 p.m. at the Moorpark Community Center, 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California.
