Staff Recommendation: Approve the Minutes as presented.

SECRETARY PRIOR TO THE CALL TO ORDER OF THE MEETING. Speakers will be

MEMORANDUM
TO: Parks & Recreation

DATE: April 8, 1988
SUBJECT: GRIFFIN SENIOR PARK FACILITIES
At the March 4, 1987, City Council meeting, Council reviewed a
recommendation from the Commission to award the Griffin Park
Improvements to B. L.M. Constructors for $28,000. The Parks &
Recreation Chairman asked that this item be returned to the Parks &
Recreation Commission to discuss adding the play equipment and a gazebo
to the recommendations.
At the March 9, 1987, Parks & Recreation Commission meeting, the
Commission reviewed and approved this project as follows: award
contract to B. L.M. Constructors in the amount of $28,200 for play
equipment, swing set, backstop, minor landscaping and irrigation. The
gazebo and drinking fountain were recommended but not approved.
At the March 11, 1987, City Council meeting, the Council approved the
Commissioner' s recommendation.
Thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) was appropriated for the projects
with $25,360 being spent, leaving an appropriated balance of $4,640.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Direct staff as deem appropriated.
