PROJECT SCOPE
1.Cold plane and overlay the existing pavement with 0.20’ Asphalt
Concrete Pavement and 0.20’ of Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt –
Gap Graded.
2.Re-pave approaching lanes at 6 intersections with Jointed Plain
Concrete Pavement – Rapid Setting Concrete (JPCP-RSC).
3.Install/upgrade existing guardrails.
4.Upgrade 31 curb ramps to Americans With Disability Act
Standards.
5.Install 46 Accessible Pedestrian Signals and touch-free
pedestrian push buttons.
6.Install new signal poles at 6 intersections.
7.Install 2 Traffic Census count stations.

8.Construct 705 feet of concrete sidewalk.

TRAFFIC HANDLING
1.The construction work will be completed
primarily during weekday nights.
Shoulder closures may occur during the
daytime for curb ramp construction.
2.There will be a minimum of one traffic
lane open in each direction of travel, from
Mira Sol Dr/Buttercreek Rd to Spring Rd.
3.There will be a minimum of at least one
through traffic lane for use by both
directions of travel from Montair Dr to
Mira Sol Dr/Buttercreek Rd.
4.Nightime closures will be from
7PM - 7AM.

1.Cold plane and overlay the existing pavement with 0.20’ Asphalt
Concrete Pavement and 0.20’ of Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt.
2.Install/upgrade existing guardrails.
3.Upgrade existing roadside signs.
4.Install flexible channelizers within median of SR-118, east of
Balcom Canyon Road.
5.Install new Traffic Safety Lighting at Bradley Road, La Cumbre
Road, and Sand Canyon Road.
6.Install centerline rumble strip from Vineyard Avenue
(east of Saticoy) to Buttercreek Road in Moorpark.

1.Construct a new Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility(CVEF) in the EB direction on SR-118. This will replace theexisting mini site located west of the City of Moorpark.
2.New off-ramp to CVEF and on-ramp onto EB SR-118.
3.Shoulder widening between Grimes Canyon Road andMontair Drive (EB only)
4.Concrete barrier between travel lane and facility.
5.Weigh -In-Motion (WIM) Facility.
6.Lighting in the inspection and out-of-service area.
7.Midwest Guardrail System (MGS) along edge ofshoulder.
