HARE Chief of Police City Treasurer MEMORANDUM TO: The Honorable City Council FROM: Philip Newhouse, Director of Community Services u DATE: November 9, 1989 SUBJECT: Consider Establishing A 'No Stopping Anytime" Zone on Spring Road Between L.A. Avenue and Tierra Rej ada. Background At your June 21, 1989 Council meeting, Council established a "No Parking Anytime zone on both sides of Spring Road between Peach Hill. Road and Tierra Rejada Road. Discussion With the development of the shopping center at the southwest corner of Spring Road and L.A. Avenue the need has arisen to establish a "No Stopping Anytime: zone adjacent to the shoppJng center on Spring Road. As Spring Road is a narrow street which carries a high volume of traffic, consideration should be given to restricting parking along Spring Road from L.A. Avenue to Peach Hill Road. Additionally, Section 2.8. of Resolution No. 87-434 and Resolution No. 89-573 should be rescinded to make the parking restriction on Spring Road consistent the full length of the street.
