SUBJECT: Bond Exonerations for DP 315/PM 3836-3
(Moorpark Associates)
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
DP-315/PM 3836-3 is located in the western section- of the
• City of Moorpark at the southwest corner of Goldman Avenue
and Tejeda Street. A location map is enclosed for your
reference.
On June 13, 1985, the Planning Commission approved DP-315,
subject to compliance with all the development conditions.
PM 3836-3 was approved *by the Planning Commission on
September 16, 1985.
The development conditions for DP-315/PM 3836-3 require
street improvements be constructed to Goldman Avenue and
Tejeda Street along the frontage of the property. The
improvements to Goldman Avenue were required prior to
occupancy, while the Tejeda Street improvements were
deferred until LDM-8 (Annotti) improvements were installed
to the north.
It is now appropriate to accept the completed improvements
• to Goldman Avenue and exonerate the following bonds:

The developer has issued an improvement guarantee bond in
the amount of $17, 000, bond number 1079816 from Amwest
Surety Insurance Company, to guarantee the street
improvements for a period of one year from the date of
acceptance. This bond will remain in full force and effect
for one year following acceptance of the street improvement
and will expire without further action of the City Council.
The improvements to Tejeda Street are not being accepted at
this time. Letter of Credit number S024981 from City
National Bank remains in effect until these street
improvements are accepted.
RECOMMENDED ACTION.
- Accept the public improvements to Goldman Avenue
required for DP-315 and PM 3836-3, and include this
section of Goldman Avenue in the City street system for
maintenance.
- Authorize the City Clerk to exonerate the above
mentioned Performance and Payment Bond, Encroachment
Bond, and Tax Bond.
- Authorize the City Clerk to exonerate the Improvement
Guarantee Bond (Bond No. 1079816) effective July 6,
1989.
