SUBJECT: GENERAL PLAN UPDATE AND CARLSBERG SPECIFIC PLAN — STATUS
Proposals were received by three planning consultant firms by the
deadline dates of October 21st for the General Plan and four firms
responded by the October 31st deadline for the Carlsberg Specific Plan.
On December 7, 1988 staff requested the City Council consider a
Selection Committee to make recommendations regarding a consultant(s)
to the Council on these two projects. The Council elected to have the
newly formed Community Development Committee act as the Selection
Committee in these matters.
On December 9, 1988 staff forwarded copies of the proposals to the
Community Development Committee requesting a meeting during the week of
December 26th. Also, the target date of January 18, 1989 was given to
the Committee.
At this time staff is reviewing the proposals so as to be prepared to
assist the Committee when needed.
