A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR
2025/26 BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $81,134.32 FROM THE
PARK MAINTENANCE DISTRICT FUND (2390) FOR PARK
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the Operating and Capital Improvement
Projects budget for Fiscal Year 2025/26 on June 18, 2025; and
WHEREAS, on August 28, 2025, Natural Green Landscape, Inc. notified the City
of their intent to terminate their agreement with the City of Moorpark for parks landscape
maintenance services, with termination to be effective November 1, 2025; and
WHEREAS, a staff report has been presented to the City Council recommending
the award of an agreement for parks landscape maintenance services to Venco Western,
Inc.; and
WHEREAS, a staff report has been presented to the City Council requesting
approval of a budget amendment in the amount of $81,134.32 from the Park Maintenance
District Fund (2390) to fund parks landscape maintenance services; and
WHEREAS, Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part hereof, describes said
budget amendment and the resultant impact to the budget line items.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. A budget amendment in the amount of $81,134.32 from the Park
Maintenance District Fund (2390) for parks landscape maintenance services, as more
particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall
cause a certified resolution to be filed in the book of original resolutions.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of October, 2025.
