A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR
2025/26 BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE $143,425 FROM THE
PARK IMPROVEMENT ZONE 2017-2 FUND (2013) TO FUND
PLAY EQUIPMENT FOR THE INCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND AT
TIERRA REJADA PARK (C0063) AND MAKING A
DETERMINATION OF EXEMPTION PURSUANT TO THE
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT IN
CONNECTION THEREWITH
WHEREAS, on June 18, 2025, the City Council adopted the Operating and Capital
Improvement Budget for Fiscal Year 2025/26; and
WHEREAS, a staff report has been presented to City Council requesting a budget
amendment to appropriate $143,425 from the Park Improvement Zone 2017-2 Fund
(2013)to fund play equipment for the Inclusive Playground at Tierra Rejada Park(C0063);
and
WHEREAS, Exhibit "A" hereof describes said budget amendment and its resultant
impact to the budget line items.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. A budget amendment of $143,425 from the Park Improvement
Zone 2017-2 Fund (2013), as more particularly described in Exhibit "A," attached hereto,
is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. The proposed action is categorically exempt from environmental
review in accordance with Section 15301 (existing facilities) of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The proposed project involves the installation of
playground equipment in an existing park and minor modifications to the parking lot layout
with no proposed expansion of existing use. Therefore, no additional environmental
review is required pursuant to CEQA.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and
shall cause a certified resolution to be filed in the book of original resolutions.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of December, 2025.
