Vandaveer, duly appointed Deputy City Clerk of the City of Moorpark, County of Ventura, State of California, do hereby certify under penalty of perjury, that I posted a copy of the Moorpark Redevelopment Agency agenda on March 1, 1996 for the regular meeting of March 6, 1996 at the following location: Moorpark Community Center 799 Moorpark Avenue Moorpark, California 93021 Said notice remained in place so that it was available for public review for at least 72 hours prior to the meeting pursuant to Section 54954 et. seq. of the California Government Code. Dorot ndaveer, Deputy City Clerk Y Dated: December 30, 1996 MOORPARK REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AGENDA REPORT TO: Chairman and Members of the Moorpark Agency FROM: Steven Hayes, Redevelopment Manager DATE: February 23, 1996 (Mtg. 03/06/96) SUBJECT: Consider Funding for Boys and Girls DISCUSSION ITEM• . -, On May 8, 1995, the Budget and Finance Committee - Mayor Lawrason and Councilmember Montgomery (Committee), recommended that the Moorpark Redevelopment Agency approve matching of funds for the construction of handicapped restroom facilities and sewer hookup for the Boys and Girls Club of Moorpark (Club) . The matching funds were not to exceed $11,500. After reviewing the Ventura County Waterworks District's records and maps, it has been determined that there is no sewer lateral located within a reasonable distance to the site where the restrooms are to be located. The estimated cost to hookup to the nearest system is approximately $30,000. The Club has decided to defer the installation of restrooms until a lateral line is placed closer to this property. Meanwhile, the Club is working on the construction of the classrooms. Therefore, it is recommended that the approved matching funds be made available for the completion of the building. Work that is being performed is construction of a handicapped access ramp, new doors, roof repair, and electrical system installed and repair. The estimated costs of all modifications to the building will exceed $25,000. The Agency would only match verified expenditures of the Club or verified in -kind services as part of the proposal. FUNDING Since this is a public purpose project, it is recommended that 1993 Tax Increment Revenue Bond proceeds be used to fund this project. RECOMMENDATION (Roll Call Vote) Staff recommends that the Agency approve matching funds in an amount not to exceed $11,500 for building improvements for Account No. 01.4.170.684. C: \M \B&G.001- 02/21/96- February 29, 1996 1 0(36007 TO: ITEMS . AGENDA REPORT City of Moorpark Chairman and Members of the Moorpark Redevelops ato J FROM: Steven G. Hayes, Redevelopment Manager DATE: February 27, 1995 (Mtg of 03/06/96) SUBJECT: Consider Repairs to 661 Moorpark Avenue (City Owned Single Family Residential Unit) BACKGROUND On September 9, 1995, the Agency approved $5,813.50 for repairs to 661 Moorpark Avenue. During the repairs it was discovered that the plumbing system consisted of old galvanized seamed pipe, which had rusted and the weakened seams caused water leaks. All of the piping and some fittings were replaced. The Agency allocated an additional $3,275.50 in order to complete the work. To date the Agency has approved $9,089.00 for this project. If this request is approved, the total cost for the improvements will be $15,909.00. Most of this work was to be completed by City workers, but due to the lack of personnel and additional work assignments, most of the work has been or will need to be completed by contractors. The following work needs to be completed before the unit is ready for rent: 1. Electrical Fixtures 75.00 2. Kitchen Hardware 75.00 3. Clean -up 350.00 4. Paint 2,500.00 5. Repair Fireplace 2,950.00 6. Window Screens 250.00 9. Contingency 620.00 Total: $6,820.00 1 b(AJUW FUNDING The Agency authorized funding for this project from housing set aside funds and if the additional costs are approved, it is recommended that the same funding source be used. RECOMMENDATION (Roll Call Vote) Staff recommends that the Agency appropriate an additional amount not to exceed $6,820.00 to Account No. 001.4.170.902 for the additional housing improvements.
