HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1986 0730 CC ADJMoorpark California July 30, 1986 An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark, California, was held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m., the honorable Mayor Thomas Ferguson presiding. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilmember Danny Woolard. 3. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Councilmembers Albert Prieto, Danny Woolard, Leta Yancy- Sutton and Mayor Thomas Ferguson; ABSENT: Councilmember Jim Hartlev (excused). OTHER CITY OFFICIALS AND STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: City Manager, Steven Kueny Deputy City Clerk, Mary Jo Rasey 4. BUSINESS ITEMS It was stated by Mayor Ferguson, that the only items to be discussed at this meeting would be the Ballot Measure arguments. 4A. Measure F After discussion and some changes in language, it was moved by Councilmember Yancy- Sutton that the Argument Against Measure F be approved as read by Councilmember Woolard, which motion was seconded by Councilmember Prieto and passed by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Yancy - Sutton, Prieto and Woolard; NOES: Mayor Ferguson; ABSENT: Councilmember Hartley. 4B. Measure H After discussion it was moved by Councilmember Yancy- Sutton and seconded by Councilmember Woolard that the argument For Measure H be approved as read, which motion passed by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Yancy- Sutton, Woolard, Prieto and Mayor Ferguson; NOES: None; ABSENT: Councilmember IIartley. -1- At this time, Mayor Ferguson declared a recess, the time being 8:40 p.m. The meeting returned to order at 8:50 p.m., with all members except Councilmember Hartley present. Councilmember Hartley was excused. 4C. Measure G. Councilmember Yancy- Sutton left the bench at this time as voting on Measure G. could be considered a conflict of interest for her. After some discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Woolard that the Argument For Measure G be approved as discussed, which motion was seconded by Councilmember Prieto and passed by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Woolard, Prieto and Mayor Ferguson; NOES: None; ABSENT: Councilmember Hartley; ABSTAIN:Councilmember Yancy - Sutton. At this time, 8:55 p.m., Councilmember Yancy- Sutton returned to the bench. 4D. Steven Kueny, City Manager, read a letter addressed to Mr. Hallin of Caltrans, re the 23/118 Freeway connection. It was moved by Councilmember Yancy - Sutton that the letter be approved for signing by the Mayor, which motion :•:as seconded by Councilmember Prieto and passed by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Yancy- Sutton, Prieto, Woolard and Mayor Ferguson; NOES: None; ABSENT: Councilmember Hartley. There being no further business to be discussed by the Council, it was moved by Councilmember Woolard, seconded by Councilmember Yancy- Sutton and unanimously agreed to adjourn, the time being 9:00 P.M.
