August 5, 1986
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Moorpark, California, was held in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall of said City, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark,
California.
1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:25 p.m., the honorable
Mayor Pro -Tem Woolard presiding.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was lea by Councilmember Prieto.
3. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Councilmembers Jim Hartley, Albert Prieto, Leta Yancy- Sutton
and Mayor Pro -Tem Danny Woolard;
ABSENT: Mayor Thomas Ferguson.
OTHER CITY OFFICIALS & STAFF IN ATTENDANCE
City Manager, Steven Kueny
Deputy City Clerk, Mary Jo Rasey
4. BUSINESS ITEMS
It was stated by Mayor Pro -Tem Woolard that the purpose of the
adjourned meeting was to create rebuttal arguments to the three
ballot measures.
4A. Measure 'F'
The argument in favor of Measure F was read and a rebuttal formed
accordingly. After discussion the rebuttal wording was accepted
by a general consensus.
At this time, 8:30, Mayor Pro -Tem Woolard declared a recess.
The meeting returned to order at 8:42 p.m., with all members present
except Mayor Ferguson.
4B. Measure 'H'
The argument against Measure H was read and a rebuttal formed
accordingly. After discussion, the wording of the rebuttal was
accepted by a general consensus.
At this time, 9:32 p.m., Councilmember Yancy- Sutton left the bench
in abstention of discussing Measure 'G'.

4C. Measure 'G'
The argument against Measure G was read and a rebuttal formed
accordingly. After discussion, the rebuttal wording was accepted
with Mayor Pro -Tem Woolard chosen to edit after typing and
remove words to be within the allotted 250 word limit. The
acceptance was by general consensus with Mayor Ferguson absent
and Councilmember Yancy- Sutton abstaining.
At this time, 9:55 p.m., Councilmember Yancy - Sutton returned to
the bench.
5. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to be discussed by the Council, it
was moved by Councilmember Prieto, seconded by Councilmember Hartley
and passed unanimously, that the meeting be adjourned, the time
being 10:00 p.m.
