February 3, 1987
A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark, California, was
held on February 3, 1987 in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 799
Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 7:32 p.m. by Mayor Ferguson.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilmember Clint Harper.
3. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Clint Harper, Eloise Brown, John Galloway
and Mayor Thomas Ferguson
Steven Kueny, City Manager; Gerald Forde, Director of
Community Services; Lt. Mike Brown, County Sheriff's
Department and Maureen Wall, City Clerk.
4. CONSIDERATION OF INTERIM APPOINTMENT:
4.A. The following candidates gave an oral review of their written resumes and
goals for the City:
Mr. Scott Montgomery, Mr. Joseph Lantunski, Mr. Tom Schleve, Mrs. Geri
Spencer, Mr. Ronald J. Fryer, Mr. Bill LaPerch, Mr. Bernando Perez,
Mr. Les H. Chase, Mr. James Carton, Mr. Glenn LeRoy Schmidt, Mr. Robert
A. Felburg and Mr. W. Scott Husted, III. Mary Horton - Wozniak spoke to
the City Council and indicated her husband, John Wozniak, was out of town
on business but would be in attendance at the regular City Council meeting
on February 4, 1987. Mr. John Patrick Lane, Jr. withdrew his name as an
applicant.
Councilmembers briefly questioned each applicant. Mayor Ferguson stated
that the Council must now select one of the applicants and that they
would singly consider each one. Consideration of the item would be
heard again at the February 4th meeting.
Mayor Ferguson then adjourned the meeting at 9:25 p.m.
Clint Harper, Mayor
