HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1987 0626 CC ADJMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL Moorpark, California June 26, 1987 An Adjourned Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was held on June 26, 1987, in the Council Chambers of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 4:20 p.m. by Mayor Clint Harper. 2. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Brown, Galloway, Lane, and Mayor Harper. Absent: Councilmember Ferguson. Steven Kueny, City Manager; Thomas Genovese, Director of Administrative Services. 3. ACTION /DISCUSSION ITEMS: D. Further Consideration of the draft 1987188 Budget. BY CONSENSUS: By consensus the Council determined to make the following salary adjustments (positions in the competitive service) for FY 1987/88. 1. Account Clerk - Step A to become $1416. 2. Administrative Clerk - Step A to become $1166. 3. Administrative Secretary - Step A to become $1416. 4. Associate Planner - Step A to become $2422. 5. Code Enforcement Officer - Step A to become $1992. 6. Facilities Coordinator - Step A to become $1897. 7. Lead Maintenance Worker - Step A to become $1640. 8. Maintenance Worker - Step A to become $1562. 9. Recreation Coordinator - Step A to become $2092. 10. Senior Planner - Step A to become $2670. Minutes of the City Council Moorpark, California Page 2 June 26, 1987 BY CONSENSUS: By consensus the Council determined to make the following salary adjustments (positions not in the competitive service) for FY 1987 -88: 1. Administrative Assistant - Step A to become $2670. 2. City Clerk - Step A to become $2670. 3. Director of Administrative Services - Step A to become $2670. 4. Director of Community Services - Step A to become $2670. 5. City Treasurer annual salary to be $600. 6. Director of Community Development annual salary to be $47,520. BY CONSENSUS: By consensus the Council determined to add the following personnel classifications for FY 1987/88: 1. Public Information Clerk - Step A to be $1285. 2. Records Clerk - Step A to be $1349. 3. Executive Secretary - Step A to be $1721. 4. Finance Officer - Step A to be $2197. 5. Planning Technician - Step A to be $1897. 6. Secretary - Step A to be $1285. BY CONSENSUS: By consensus the Council determined that the hourly rate for positions not in the competitive service are to be as follows: 1. Administrative Intern - Step A to become $6.10. 2. Clerical Aide - Step A to become $3.92. 3. Clerk Typist - Step A to become $6.10 4. Clerk - Step A to become $6.73 5. Crossing Guard - Step A to become $5.53. 6. Laborer /Custodian I - Step A to become $4.55. 7. Laborer /Custodian II - Step A to become $5.81. 8. Laborer /Custodian III - Step A to become $7.41. 9. Recreation Leader I - Step A to become $4.12. 10. Recreation Leader II - Step A to become $5.02. 11. Recreation Leader III - Step A to become $6.10. 4. CLOSED SESSION: A Closed Session was held to discuss Personnel. Present in Closed Session were all Councilmembers except Councilmember Ferguson; Steven Kueny, City Manager; and Thomas Genovese, Director of Administrative Services. The Council reconvened into Open Session at 9:05 p.m. Mr. Kueny stated that there was no action to report out of Closed Session and only Personnel had been discussed. Minutes of the City Council Moorpark, California Page 3 June 26, 1987 MOTION: Mayor Harper moved and Councilmember Lane seconded a motion to approve the position of Deputy City Manager with the promotion of Thomas Genovese, Director of Administrative Services, to the position effective July 1, 1987 with a monthly salary of $3246 (Step A); the position of Director of Administrative Services to be left vacant. The motion carried by roll call vote 4 -0, Councilmember Ferguson absent. MOTION: Councilmember Lane moved and Councilmember Harper seconded a motion to adjust the annual salary of the City Manager to $55,760 for the FY 1987/88. The motion carried by roll call vote, 4 -0, Councilmember Ferguson absent. 5. ADJOURNMENT: MOTION: Councilmember Galloway moved and Councilmember Lane seconded a motion to adjourn to 7:00 p.m. on June 29, 1990. The motion carried by voice vote, 4 -0, Councilmember Ferguson absent. The time of adjournment was 9:15 p.m. Bernardo M. Perez, Mayor ATTEST:
