HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1988 0420 CC SPCMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL Moorpark, California ______ __ Apri 1_ 20, 1988 A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark, California was held on April 20, 1988, in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 5:15 p.m. by Mayor John Patrick Lane. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was suspended since the matters for consideration were Closed Session items. 3. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Eloise Brown, John Galloway, Bernardo Perez and Mayor John Patrick Lane. Steven Kueny, City Manager; Cheryl Kane, City Attorney; and John Knipe, Assistant City Engineer. 4. CLOSED SESSION: A. Litigation concerning Urban West Communities versus the City of Moorpark. B. Litigation concerning the Boething Family Trust versus the City of Moorpark. C. Personnel. D. Negotiations regarding the lease of city-owned - __property (Government Code Sect ion567 _56. 8) -Community. Park. E. Potential litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(1). F. Potential litigation _pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c). MOTION: Councilmember Brown moved and Councilmember Galloway seconded a motion to go into Closed Session to discuss those items listed. The voice vote was unanimous, with Councilmember Harper absent. AT 5:25 P.M., COUNCILMEMBER HARPER arrived and entered the Closed Session. Minutes of the City Council Moorpark, California 2 _ _ Apri1_20, 1988 John Knipe left the Closed Session at 5:57 p.m. Mr. Philip Newhouse, Director of Community Services, came into Closed Session at 5:58 p.m., and left at 6:14 p.m. Council came out of Closed Session at 6:55 p.m. The City Attorney announced no actions were taken, and that the Council only discussed Items 4.A., C., E. and F. MOTION: Councilmember Galloway moved and Councilmember Harper seconded a motion to recess and reconvene in Open Session at 7:00 p.m. The voice vote was unanimous. ATTEST:
