HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1990 0117 CC SPCMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL Moorpark, California January 17, 1990 The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark, California was held on January 17, 1990, in the Council Chambers of City Hall of said City, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 6:25 p.m. by Mayor Paul Lawrason. 2. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Brown, Harper, Montgomery, Perez, and Mayor Lawrason Steven Kueny, City Manager; Virginia Pesola, Deputy City Attorney; Pat Richards, Director of Community Development; Dave Baird, Building Official; and Claude Steward, Building Inspector. 3. CLOSED SESSION: MOTION: Councilmember Brown moved and Councilmember Harper seconded a motion to go into Closed Session to discuss the following item: A. Potential litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(1). The motion was carried by unanimous voice vote. All Councilmembers were present in Closed Session as were Steven Kueny, City Manager; Virginia Pesola, Deputy City Attorney; Pat Richards, Director of Community Development; Dave Baird, Building Official; and Claude Steward, Building Inspector. The Council reconvened into Open Session at 7:10 p.m. Mr. Kueny stated there was no action to report out of Closed Session. 4. Consider Loan of $15.000 to the Redevelopment Agency. Staff Recommendation: Authorize loan from the General Fund to the Moorpark Redevelopment Agency. Mr. Kueny stated there was one other item to consider on the agenda concerning a proposed loan from the City to the Moorpark Redevelopment Agency. He referred to the staff report stating the need for an additional $15,000.00 to fund litigation and related professional service. Minutes of the City Council Moorpark, California Page 2 January 17, 1990 MOTION: Councilmember Harper moved and Councilmember Brown seconded a motion to authorize the loan of $15,000.00 from the General Fund reserve of the City to the Moorpark Redevelopment Agency. The motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. 4. ADJOURNMENT: MOTION: Councilmember Brown moved and Councilmember Montgomery seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting.
