Moorpark, California May 16, 1990
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark,
California was held on May 16, 1990 in the Council Chambers of the
City Hall of said City, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark,
California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Lawrason called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m.
Present:
2. CLOSED SESSION:
Councilmembers Brown, Harper, Montgomery,
Perez and Mayor Lawrason.
Steven Kueny, City Manager; and Cheryl Kane,
City Attorney.
MOTION: Councilmember Brown moved and Councilmember
Montgomery seconded a motion to go into Closed Session under
1) Personnel; 2) Litigation concerning the City of Moorpark
vs. the Moorpark Unified School District; 3) Litigation
concerning the Moorpark Unified School District vs. City of
Moorpark. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
Present in Closed Session were all Councilmembers; Steven
Kueny, City Manager; and Cheryl Kane, City Attorney.
The meeting reconvened into Open Session at 6:35 p.m. Mr.
Kueny stated there was no action to report out of Closed
Session and only Personnel had been discussed.
AT THIS POINT in the meeting, Mayor Lawrason declared a
recess. The meeting reconvened at 6:40 p.m.
3. IETJ�.SiT TINE HOME BUYER LOTTERY
Mayor Lawrason stated that the program was developed in
cooperation with Griffin Homes and that Simi Valley Bank has
agreed to provide financing. He acknowledged Charles
Dragicevich, Senior Vice President /Manager, Western Div., and
Marion Kiesling, Vice President of Sales and Marketing from
Griffin Homes; Carolyn Williford, Vice President /Manager, Real
Estate Dept., and Walt Duchanin, Senior Vice President and
Credit Administrator from Simi Valley Bank.
Mayor Lawrason explained the lottery process and selection
priority.

Lot assignments were drawn by the Councilmembers and then the
names of applicants were drawn from each category as follows:

MOTION: Councilmember Brown moved and Councilmember Harper
seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting. The voice vote was
unanimous.
The meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
