HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1991 0429 CC SPCMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL Moorpark, California April 29, 1991 A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was held on April 29, 1991 in the Council Chambers of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Pro Tem Perez called the meeting to order at 7:11 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Present: Absent: 3. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. 4. DISCUSSION /ACTION: Councilmembers Montgomery, Perez, Talley, and Wozniak Mayor Lawrason Steven Kueny, City Manager; Susan Cauldwell, Assistant to the City Manager; and Lillian Kellerman, City Clerk A. Consider City's Mission Statement and Goals for Fiscal Year 1991/92. Staff Recommendation: Discuss proposed City Mission Statement and Goals for Fiscal Year 1991/92. Mayor Lawrason joined the meeting at 7:15 p.m. Mr. Kueny gave an overview of the City Mission Statement and departmental goals. Ms. Cauldwell answered Council questions regarding the development of the Mission Statement and departmental goals. BY CONSENSUS: By consensus, the Council determined that the City Mission Statement was acceptable as presented: "Striving to preserve and improve the quality of life in Moorpark." Minutes of the City Council Moorpark, California Page 2 April 29, 1991 The Council discussed the departmental goals and proposed amendments to the goals. BY CONSENSUS: By consensus, the Council determined that the amendments discussed should be made to the Fiscal Year 1991/92 departmental goals which would then be presented for adoption with the City Mission Statement at the May 1, 1991 Regular City Council meeting. Councilmember Perez provided the Council with a copy of the Mission Statement and Goals of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. MOTION: Councilmember Montgomery moved and Councilmember Wozniak seconded a motion to go into Closed Session for a discussion of Personnel. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote. 5. CLOSED SESSION: Present in Closed Session were all Councilmembers; and Steven Kueny, City Manager. The meeting reconvened into Open Session at 10:58 p.m. Mr. Kueny stated that there was no action to report out of Closed Session and only Personnel had been discussed. 6. ADJOURNMENT: MOTION: Councilmember Perez moved and Councilmember Talley seconded a motion to adjourn. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote. The time was 10:58 p.m. i Paul W.
