HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1991 0508 CC SPCMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL Moorpark, California May 8, 1991 A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was held on May 8, 1991 in the Council Chambers of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lawrason called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Montgomery, Perez, Talley, Wozniak, and Mayor Lawrason. Steven Kueny, City Manager; Richard Hare, Deputy City Manager; and Lillian Kellerman, City Clerk. 3. ACTION /DISCUSSION: A. Consider Additional Appropriation for Monument Signs at City Hall, Civic Center and Peach Hill Park. Staff Recommendation: Appropriate $1,300 from General Fund Reserves and $600 from Park Improvement Fund (Peach Hill Zone). The staff report was deferred. MOTION: Councilmember Montgomery moved and Councilmember Perez seconded a motion to approve the staff recommendation to approve the construction of the monument signs by Vital Signs; appropriate an additional $527 from the Parks Improvement Fund Peach Hill Zone Reserve for the construction of the Peach Hill Park sign; change the funding source for the Civic Center sign to the General Fund from the Park Improvement Fund; and appropriate an additional $5,799 from the General Fund Reserve to the General Fund Community Center budget for a total appropriation of $9,299 for the cost of the City Hall and Civic Center signs. Consider Acceptance of Grant Deed for Easement for Sidewalk on Poindexter Avenue from West America Corporation (IPD 88 -5). Staff Recommendation: Accept the easement and authorize the City Clerk to execute the Certificate of Acceptance. The staff report was deferred. MOTION: Councilmember Montgomery moved and Councilmember Wozniak seconded a motion to approve the staff recommendation to accept the easement and authorize the City Clerk to execute the Certificate of Acceptance. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote. 4. CLOSED SESSION: MOTION: Councilmember Montgomery moved and Councilmember Talley seconded a motion to go into Closed Session for a discussion of all items listed on the special meeting notice: A. Personnel. B. Negotiations for Real Property at 280 Casey Road (Moorpark Unified School District) pursuant to Government Code Section 54945.8. C. Negotiations for Real Property for Access Road to the Arroyo Vista Park (Urban West Communities) pursuant to Government Code Section 54945.8. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote. The time into Closed Session was 7:33 p.m. Present in Closed Session were all Councilmembers; Steven Kueny, City Manager; and Richard Hare, Deputy City Manager. The meeting reconvened into Open Session at 7:58 p.m. Mr. Kueny stated there was no action to report out of Closed Session and items 4.A., 4.B., and 4.C. were discussed.
