HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1991 0529 CC JNTCITY COUNCIL MINUTES Moorpark, California May 29, 1991 A Special Joint Meeting of the Moorpark City Council and Planning Commission was held on Wednesday, May 29, 1991, in the Council Chambers of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lawrason called the City Council meeting to order in the Conference Room at 5:01 p.m. Present: Absent: Councilmembers Montgomery, Talley, Wozniak and Mayor Lawrason. Councilmember Perez. Steven Kueny, City Manager; and Lillian Kellerman, City Clerk. 2. ACTION /DISCUSSION: A. Consider an Appeal of Planning Commission Action to Approve LDM 90 -7 (Bridgeman). Staff Recommendation: Appeal. MOTION: Councilmember Talley moved and Councilmember Montgomery seconded a motion to consider the appeal on June 19, 1991. The motion carried by voice vote 4 -0, Councilmember Perez absent. AT THIS POINT in the meeting the Council joined those in the City Hall parking lot waiting for the tour to begin. Councilmember Perez joined the meeting. The time was 5:07 p.m. Planning Commission Chairman Wesner called the Planning Commission to order at 5:07 p.m. 3. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Montgomery, Perez, Talley, Wozniak and Mayor Lawrason. Planning Commissioners Torres, Miller, Brodsky, and Chairman Wesner. Steven Kueny, City Manager; Pat Richards, Director of Community Development; Charles Abbott, City Engineer; Jon Taylor, Assistant City Engineer; and Celia LaFleur, Administrative Secretary. Minutes of the City Council Moorpark, California Page 2 May 29, 1991 4. TOUR OF THE ESTES TRUST PROPERTIES AND LEVY PROPERTIES: The City Hall parking lot was the meeting point for the tour. The City Council, Planning Commission, City staff, John Newton, proponent for the General Plan Amendment, Dennis Hardgrave, representing the Levy property, and other people went on a tour of the Estes Trust and Levy properties. Four vehicles were provided for the tour. 5. ADJOURNMENT: The Council and Planning Commission returned to the starting point of the tour at 7:20 p.m. Mayor Lawrason and Planning Commission Chairman Wesner adjourned the meeting.
